Here’s what interns will receive:
- Veterinary graduates (DVM holders):
Rs. 60,000 per month - Para-veterinary diploma holders (LAD):
Rs. 40,000 per month
The program will roll out in two phases, with a total of 1,000 interns to be hired:
- Phase 1 (2025-2026):
485 interns — including 255 DVMs and 230 para-vets - Phase 2 (2026): Remaining 515 slots will be filled
Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria
For DVM Graduates:
- Must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from a recognized university
- Must be registered with PVMC (Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council)
- Must have Punjab domicile
- Should be unemployed and not working in any government/private vet clinic
- Preferably under the age of 25 years
For Para-Vets / LAD Holders:
- Must have completed a 2-year Livestock Assistant Diploma (LAD)
- Must also have Punjab domicile
- Must be unemployed and willing to serve in field conditions
- Age limit typically around 20-22 years
What Will You Actually Do?
- Assist in animal treatment, vaccination, and first aid
- Support in AI (artificial insemination) services for livestock
- Help with epidemic response (e.g. lumpy skin disease, foot & mouth disease, etc.)
- Educate local farmers about animal nutrition, health & hygiene
- Be involved in reporting diseases, sampling, testing, and livestock extension services
